A cozy refuge at the foot of the canyons, in deep connection with the landscape. An invitation to contemplation and perception of nature.

The land that once housed a rice plantation, at the foot of the rocky formations between Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, has given way to Alvor — a sensitive space that translates a delicate and vibrant aesthetic in Praia Grande. The result of a Masterplan, the project defined an occupation plan that enhances the unique landscape, with hierarchized visual axes, allowing nature to be the backdrop and the protagonist. The plan includes the expansion of the complex and promotes a secluded experience within the land, while also considering its external perception, such as that of the local balloonists. The communal spaces were conceived to harmonize people and landscape, taking advantage of the voids and the expanse of the land with integrated leisure infrastructure, yet with distinct atmospheres. Focusing on the human scale, the design values usage and sensory connections. Alvor is a place where nature and architecture meet to welcome and inspire its visitors.
