The New Arena is a mixed-use complex located in a central area of Manaus, characterized by intense urban traffic flows. Situated at a strategic point on the road network, the land has high connectivity with different regions of the city and is close to important urban, commercial, and service facilities. It stands out due to its immediate vicinity to the Arena da Amazônia, an iconic element of the landscape and a regional reference.

The project is based on the premise of transforming an area previously perceived as a transit space into a place of permanence and urban vitality. The urban proposal organizes mixed-use buildings—with residential and commercial functions—around a central public square, directly connected to the adjacent streets and with a unified pavement design. This square acts as a structuring element of the set and is activated by kiosks, urban furniture, vegetation, and community spaces.

The buildings lining the central space have active facades, with commercial uses on the ground floor, promoting fluid transitions between public and private spaces. The physical and identity integration between ground floors, sidewalks, and common areas reinforces walkability, generating a safe and inviting urban environment. Thus, the New Arena promotes in its design a vibrant urban centrality, with infrastructure aimed at daily appropriation, diverse uses, and a qualified connection with its surroundings.
